Donation Guidelines

Savebabies follows stringent guidelines for milk donation to ensure the safety and quality of donated breast milk.

Our standards cover donor screening, milk collection, storage, and transportation, adhering to best practices in the field.

Guidelines for Eligible Donor Moms

Counseling

Our dedicated lactation counselor will connect with you to explain the milk donation process and its significance for both you and your family. Once you express interest in voluntary donation, you will be provided with a consent form. To proceed, kindly complete the screening questionnaire on the Save Babies portal.

Blood Test

After the acceptance of your forms, our lactation counselor will guide you through the process of collecting blood samples for serological screening. The accredited external testing lab will conduct tests for HBsAg , Anti HBc , Anti HCV , HIV І & ІІ, Syphilis .Our quality team will review the blood report, and upon meeting the requirements, you will be placed on the approved donor list. Rest assured, all your medical information remains strictly confidential. Save Babies will take care of the cost involved

Milk Expression

Before expressing milk, ensure proper personal, hand, and breast milk pump hygiene. Once milk is expressed, promptly transfer it to a freezer to maintain the required temperature. Milk collection is allowed up to six months from your baby's date of birth. To ensure safety of donor human milk, our quality team takes a session on Expression and Storage guidelines

Labeling

Immediately after expressing milk, accurately fill in the necessary details on the bottles or packets. This includes expression date, volume, and other provided fields.

Pick Up

Arrange for the doorstep pickup of the expressed milk. Our team will ensure a seamless cold chain transfer to our facility, maintaining the integrity of the milk.
